out tv = fout, if not oud (dutch for old)! and probably on the way out, if they don't move to the basic digital+ package The growth in digital tv subscribers has halted, NL newspapers said today; the price is way too high and the quality is much less then promissed! Most people nowadays ask their friends how they like the service they contemplate. Here's my consumer experience with digital tv: As one of the early subscribers to Dutch digital channels, and sufferer of the various company take-overs, I want to say to all other gay subscribers, who went from Casema, via Orange and Wanadoo to Ziggo: DONT ! The digital channels work like SHIT : all the time channels break up in JPG dots and then take a number of seconds to reset. This does not happen on the channels you never watch, like the 15 German channels, the 6 French ones, or TV noord, oost, Limburg, but all the time at VPRO geschiedenis, het gesprek, AT5 (completely gone during canalpride day), History channel, Discovery world, discovery science, BBC3, 4, and Private spice, the free hetero sex channel, that shows more cock and bareback fucking then the gay channel (you know I have no problems with bareback). If you just forget it is a female ass they fuck, who needs a homo channel for an additional €10,- ? Also no distortion on all the channels that are already on the analog channels or on sterren.nl, tv oranje, but plenty of dropouts on VH1, TMF-dance, VPRO-2voor12 and Mezzo Classic !
All the guys who had Dutch Out on trial discontinued it, as there just wasn't enough worthwhile content.

Village people Als this year we celebrate the 8th lustrum at DWH we went deel into some serious music history:  Back in the seventies, on my first trip to NYC, I was one of the lucky few to buy the first Village People record. It had just four songs, that amazingly are very rare on youtube or elsewhere to this day. Still, they sound so much more fresh and authentic than the megasmashes they did later on that we can all mime to and I've been bored with last weekend at the homo top 100. Fire Island is now in the blue box at the right and below we have San Fransisco.

Their petty prudishness has forced them to falsify history by putting loincloths on all atletes. even when nudity is discussed, we see nothing of it; how silly can you get: It would have been so much nicer had this documentary been made by the more "naturalist Germans": intro of Leny Riefenstahl's 'Fest der Schönheit' made for olympics of 1936. oops! Defrosted the fridge, long overdue, as I heard the compressor running almost nonstop. So in my humble attempt to save the planet, I ate all icecream last week and then, dropped the wine cooling elements from the freezer to the cooler, switched off, and opened the freezer door. At around 30° Celcius, it only took one hour for the icewall to let loose and after cleaning I transferred milk and fresh stuff to the freezer and plugged in again, to clean the cooler section
(which took a lot longer). Strangely however, there was no sign of cooling whatso ever, nor the sound of the compressor. Even after checking the thermostat, and kicking the Miele on the back, nothing happened, so I settled with the fact that my agressive cleaning had broken it down and was even asessing new models to order the next day. The next morning, before placing the order for a € 2000,- model, with ice cube, milk, water and juice outlets and tv monitor in the door, I had one more look at the 15 year old set, to see if it had miraculously fired up again, when I noticed I had plugged in the other white cord, of the toaster, instead of the fridge. After switching the plugs I heard the familiar compressor, and half an hour later had ice cubes again. Sadly a new fridge will have to wait a few more decades. | ||||||||||||||||||||

own pride vid got 2 batches batch of this weekend's a'dam canalpride vid uploaded: maybe I should explain: on the 1st boat you see Dutch crooner nr 1, called Gordon, singing in a pink sailor outfit; on boat nr 2 you see the mayor of Amsterdam, acting very unconfortable between his gay staff, on boat 3 you see the national minister of education, culture and gay affairs, with the ministor of the interior, and lots of other top brass acting quite nice. Then also the police was not only taking care of security, but also part of the parade. They had serious discussions about their outfit: shout they be in pink jogstraps, gala outfit, the heavy duty fetish outfit or in drag? They decided on the basic uniform. here's the second bit, plus recovery the day after at our own canal in Delft it is ridiculous to decrease 12 megapixel/frame HD widescreen video to youtube, but at least it gets there and does wonders for Gordon's belly!
