David Gilmour
Just saw the old fart and hero from my Pink Floyd admiration days perform live at the Gdansk Shipyard on BBC4. Well, even on his own, (eh, I mean without his old Floyd mates, who I first saw live at Kralingen, Rotterdam in 1970) he still knows how to get get an audience minds smashed to smithereens. Here's a renjuvenaded version of one of my old favs from early Floyd days:

My all time fav Floyd tune still remains the original version of saucerfull,
which was in effect a solo by Richard Wright, who died just 2 weeks ago.

I bought when it came out in '68 where the organ basses blew up several of my original philips speakers (pretty expensive back then). The version most like the one I heard live is here with extensive percussion and Gilmour singing. Boy, was I in love with that guy back then:

just in case you're wondering: my friend Martin's Ning sites have been taken offline. Let this be a lesson: if you want to run a site with content bordering on or way across the USA neoreligious norms on morality or containing bloodshed and gore (which is what the USA military and Hollywood want to maintain exclisive rights for) do NOT host it on American services, like Yahoo, Google, Ning or MSN. Simon made it to nr. 2 in the best dutch film of all time election. (I also voted for 'Yes Nurse No Nurse' and 'De kleine blonde dood')! It is also in my gay film list, secondly he has the guts to be critical about his party (Dutch Labour). Yesterday he said on tv and on BNR radio that the VVD (conservative liberals) is more progressive then his own party because they are uncomprimising in defending gay rights. Third he has a new film out about politics, where a friend of mine, Ton Kas, who I worked with in lots of theater projects, a.o. in Nieuw West's "De Jantjes", is the "Vox Populi" comment?

Ok, I chose a track-link from the preceeding album of Bowie (which is at 21), coz that album was infinitely better. For the rest I stuck to choosing the track listing, although I was tempted with the Smiths to use their best song which was not on any original album. and would replace nr. 4 with the album of Kate and Anne McGarrigle. Listen to this if you need convincing.
I copied the whole list, just in case 'out' takes it offline (and added stars)
What I don't understand is that Hedwig made it to nr. 11, which is fine, as it's by the maker of Shortbus, but Velvet Goldmine, a film score that raped and strangled me, is not in the list at ALL! That movie is in my all time top 3, if only for the piece where the pop-journalist/storyteller looks back at the first time he saw Brian Slade on TopOfThePops, and his father gives the obligatory sneer: "fags!", and he does his entire coming out in 3 words by screaming: "but THAT'S ME!, which just ripped through my heart when I first saw the film in an open air showing in Berlin.

Its diameter is just 1 meter, still the energy ball gives 500 watt of energy max. And delivers 15% of an average household's energy. I think it looks pretty neat. Sadly there is no subsidy on it yet in my hometown Delft, so payback time at € 3000,- is 15 years now, but that might change when the report on small windmil trials comes out next year. Also, my downstairs neigbour works at the TU-delft aero dynamics windtunnel lab, so we should play a role in inovative technology. Besides, I already have my solar panels, that on a sunny afternoon makes my electricity meter run backwards, even with fridge and a pc on!

seeing the closing ceremony of the olympics, It was a relief to see a touch of pop-music re-emerge in the section dedicated, to London 2012. We had Kylie in Sidney, and our DJ Tiësto in Athens. The gay element was present in Sidney with the 'Queens of the desert' bus and trava's on rollerscates and in Athens we had the classic greek gods posing (fake)nude and being a touch omnisexual. Sadly although the results of gay atletes were better then ever, nothing representing that was shown in China's begin or end show. Jimmy Page did a bit of his Led Zeppelin hit Whole lotta love. We will defend the rights we fought for in the past century . . once again
More and more signals of police harassment and not acting or ridicule when we aproach them to register complaints about anti gay violence. This summer we had real old-fashioned razzia's of gay men or guys looking for gay sex at cruising area's, motorway parking lots, nude beaches. We should know and defend our rights: It is legal to have sex when there is no intention of shocking others. That means, when it's not visible from a public road or path. Obviously the rise of complaints from religious fanatics about this sort of thing causes police to act against Dutch law!

Let's just forbid above species to enter the dunens! They leave icecream wrappers and coke cans behind and make us pervert homoos think bad thoughts ! ! They should be sent to orfan homes in Romania, together with their mums, yep, the type that makes heterosexual perverts think bad thoughts ! The kind that causes our population to rise and our grounds and morals to sink èver more below sea level ! Next season we will be ready to challenge police brutalities & illegalities !

Just like we did in the Provo years, last century. I'm all for Group fuck sessions in the HOOK DUNES, let's see what happens when we continue the intimacies in the M.E. busses after our arrests, And don't even think of what will happen if they run out of cells to lock us up individually: Yeahhh!
