Dutch dilemma: what to vote ?
 There really is no choice when it comes to the next election: Sophie in t Veld is the all time hero when it comes to defending gay rights in new EU coutries like Poland and beyond. But then I'm against her stand of adding more homophobic countries like Turkey to the EU, even though Obama wants us to.
As far as Europe is concerned I only have 2 options left (no not the hyper blonde one) :
 I would vote for D66 if only gay issues were my primairy consideration, but they messed up their politcal renewal issue; are all for a bigger europe, I will never forget that their minister of health Els Borst made popers illegal in NL, with the argument that it was agreed EU legislation, so they are now twice as expensive here as in neighbour EU countries, so for once I will move to:  I'm not a smoker, but at least they have a realistic cannabis policy: to legalise growing too, instead of leaving it in criminal hands, totally backfiring, like in USA-prohibition days. weblog lives up to its name: (doet zijn naam eer) I'm proud to be able to admit it is the second time in my life that I can (and will) vote for a former fuck-buddy as party/list leader. As if we just only now finally grasp that nothing good can come off the roman catholic church nor any other church. How credible are the deliberations of Dutch gay priest Antoine Bodar, that the church will show the path to the ultimate righteousness, while recognising we all are sinners? That path leads nowhere, as far as I'm concerned.
The nuns only did humiliation and corporal punishment, and the boys almost all got sexually abused at all these private institutions run by 'christian brothers' and 'sisters of mercy', hmmm? Of course the report stipulates that due to the lousy separation of church and state there, no furter compensation nor prosecution is to be expected. The most shocking is the cover up and the idea that if you did "holy confession" the priests could just start all over time and again. Of course we also know that this went on in a similar fashion in the Irish-Catholic communities in the Eastern United States. Thank "god" we queens have our own "sisters of perpetial indulgence"

Further I've always apreciated Eneco for not going along with the other 2 Dutch e-companies Nuon and Essent, who consistantly went for the super macho image and sponsoring hooligan sports. Which stupidly now seems to have hit them right back in the asshole, as they seem to get taken over by super environmentally unfriendly German giant RWE (fed by greedy former owners: Brabant and Overijssel's delegates). Further I liked the plan Rem Koolhaas' OMA made for North Sea energy and the commercial our Beau made for zeekracht : Some authorities maintain that wind energy is a silly idea that will never be competitive, and that may be true for old-tech windfarms, like the ones I saw around Desert Hot Springs, but the huge sea mills, combined with TU-delft designed systems to enable maintainance access until force 9 gails, do tip the balance. Also Eneco gives me back a consumer price for the solar energy I produce and my heating system, which was already pretty efficient, is up for renewal. Our minister of Education and Culture has declared support for Gordon, as did the national tv-broadcaster, who now threatens to not even show the finale if the gay parade goes wrong. It might pull some viewers and votes, but just as easy lose even more, knowing views on gay rights in Poland, the Baltics, Belarus, Rumania, Turkey. Well at least with the latter it will mean they will not be permitted to be part of the EU. Wonder why the Turks over the past years have been the most fanatical eurosong voters? Must mean they have more gays then they're willing to admit. The Turks also are best spread over the various EU countries. While we Dutch are not allowed to bring out a vote for our own country, Turks in Germany, Holland, France can and will. Luckily most of their entries have been so awful that they still did not win for a decade non-stop. Popularity in the Western European countries has dwindeled considerably as the new eastern EU countries have won now for a decade nonstop due to all their in-breed-voting. The Russians should realise that generations of eurogays have made the event the worldwide viewer magnet only rivaled by the world soccer finals.
