Am afraid, as with any turnaround in generations, the next generation will dismiss the puritan tide of people 'leading' our community these days, as the religion-tolerant inquisition and held responsible for the destruction of the assets and liberties we gained with the pioneer queer generation between 1950 and 1980.

I'd rather declare gay marriage illegal again. It's only a solution for the homos who desperately try to be 'normal'. I do not need a religious heterosexual institution; just equal rights is fine with me and ways to safeguard our heritage outside relationships (if you make an appointment with a solicitor you'll find there are already loads of options), but then, if some desperately want to be part of a religious tradition that does not accept us, I'm not stopping anybody.
Why do some of us feel we have to get our inspiration from christian morality instruments as 'penitence' we last saw in the middle ages, when it was thought of as ways to combat the plague? Self chastising, in the form of self castration: denying our sexuality to eradicate the guilt for having caused or at least aggravated the aids crisis?
Those are routes to 'enlightening' as they may be preached by our former Den Bosch diocese plebeian, now would-be press officer of the Vatican, Antoine Bodar, or by the self proclaimed 'homo pope' from Best, Henk Krol, but certainly not by two other Catholic gay heroes (or were they prophets?) of mine, now sadly passed away, Gerard Reve and the most pious of us all, author of 'mystic body' and early aids victim Frans Kellendonk.

In this train of thought I kind of liked the act Sanjay e.o. did last sunday at 'the church', with a coffin and corpse. If it would be carried to its conclusion with a purification orgy ritual with holy body fluids like piss/blood/semen, then just maybe we could be on the way to leave the 'dark ages' behind us. Sadly we're far away from that eutopia, again possible fear of recognizable faces in the background on that clip shows it's still poz and benauwd and anything but proud!

Some more months to consider, befor the local NL elections and then another year for the national ones. Both above parties advocate keeping pensions at 65. I would surely not mind working till 67, but what I want much more is work for those who can and want it between 50 and 65. So if politics doesn't look at their own representatives and officials and gives no incentives to employers AT ALL to improve the current situation, where only 20% of the population between 50 and 65 is working.
Any party going that way? I would hitch a ride.comment?
