Update queer art history : I'm working on an update of the highresolution queer art history gallery. It may have to be broken up into many subsections as the subject grows wider and wider (towards infinity like our ever faster expanding universe).
in the fierce discussion I have currently raging with the local community center I try to make the point that we homo's are doomed whichever way we turn: if we act 'normal' by living monogamous, marrying and adopting children, fundamentalists will still denie us equal rights, so we might just as well enjoy ourselves while we proceed on our path to hell (all along paved with good intentions).

Hate it . . . as I despise everything that comes from the Apple-Adobe posh-art-elite conglomerate. But sometimes you do come across others that out of sheer boredome or irritation use it for something quite funny: just click play here.
I have stopped coding in flash myself over a decade ago. Nevertheless, I have occasionally lended the finished result on my pages. Like the christmas splash page on db/queerart which was borrowed from the incomparable Patrick Fillion.
Also enjoyed the little bit of art anarchy some guys did with the Google Locator, which pops up in their maps whenever I upload a video to youtube and tell my audience where I filmed it. It is also used by many companies on their route and location pages. Youtube needs a scolding too because they have allowed, numerous good gay clips to be flagged and deleted by intolerant religious fanatics!! They still continue to condone this homophobe practice!
I did announce that from januari I would revitalise this weblog with all the wordpress gadgets, but sadly I failed. I wanted two images in my header, that seems to be impossible with most templates, besides that I can't even get them to unzip. Why is zipping still needed anyway? With current bandwiths it seems hardly useful. And audio and video these days are so far compressed already that hardly any significant compression is attained.comment?

BLACK PARTY Amsterdam, or rather Westzaan, 27 on 28 feb 2010The Black Party has roots in the United States and in Europe. It quickly became part of the circuit party phenomenon. These new parties were also saturated with an overly intense sexual energy that by the end of the night transform the events from being a house music blow-out into full gay orgy. To this day, Black Party attendees are encouraged to "dress heavy, uninhibited and in black". Thousands of men, and very few select women, check their inhibitions at the door and create a unique vibe during the event, developing an atmosphere of testosterone and extreme hedonism.
I am a great supporter of the above: with the gents foundation, (in)famous for their amazing XXX parties at COC and later on at Jan van Galen, throwing in the towel and merging with GALA there was just one large scale extreme party left: leatherpride, which is just madness, and will send the last gay tourist that still had Amsterdam on his list screaming off to Berlin Antwerp or Spain.
I'm not saying Club Church is not the best Amsterdam has to offer right now; it's fine for saturday partying but just too small for seasonal crowd pullers, and a re-opening of IT will not cater for the party & play crowd either.
We need more! I just wonder, why do the neighbours of Lexion in the small dike-village of Westzaan not complain about the invasion of extravaganza? 1st: Farmers prove far more tolerant than the loudmouth arrogantos living in inner city A'dam, 2nd: their sons (and doughters) make a nice bit of pocketmoney running bars, parking, security and wardrobes.
For the moment I'm very happy the gay capital of NL has moved to the other side of the IJ (eh Noordzeekanaal) comment?
