I've tried to be patient, see things in every which possible, given it time and chances to move in new directions, but sadly must conclude I feel further and further away from the +&P teadance. I just cannot enjoy myself anymore. Also I think I see there is no fan base growing; new visitors every rime, but hatdly any returning, and it's no surprise to me: It's the L way or the highway, and that wouldn't be so bad if there was a vision I could share! Sadly I can't find any.
Nothing bad to say about DJ´s, VJ´s or the act, but I did not see any of the things we talked about realised: no real change in the music of the 1st 2 hours, just somewhat more laidback dance as we already did since the start, nothing from the fifties or pre WWII cleverly mixed together like this song eh, this, I mean this song? That wouls surely have gotten me to say Yeahyeah! Also the extra hour did not bring anything extra, just another hour to get bored. If everybody comes in after 5 why not start at 5? Still nothing done about law nr 1 of parties: the public brings in the public. So if the visitors are, by some hidden morals, kept from having fun with each other, they will keep dribbling away, only to re-appear half an hour later at the over crowded darkrooms of Cuckoo´s Nest and Web. The event still hinges on too many concepts, with not one thought through effectively. It wants to pull in a younger crowd, but the average age of the +&P adherents is above 30 and ageing fast.

Do we not see that the furball (mag t een kilootje meer zijn?) is the hit of the moment and at the Melkweg Harry de Winters 40+ nights, where my old mates Alex en Eddy spin vinyls. Why do we not give free admission and a free drink to the under 30's and unashamedly say, they're welcome as long as they know they're there to entertain the old farts and they're expected to make an effort in that direction. Revive the age-bridging whorish cruise mood from vintage bars like "de krokodil". The interior of the Chrch already hints sooo much in that direction; we could get the old secretive Victorian hideout atmosphere from the days of Oscar Wilde back there with very little effort. The average visitor also does not want to be drawn into a moralising a-sexual strategy, which may be fine for those into a stable long time monogamous relationship, but not for the majority of the target group. We have that other church for morals, thank you very much!
for too long I thought things would improve, but now feel we arrived at the beyond salvation (Amen) point. I think, if anything, it's time for a much cheaper, much more underground kind of event, with an internet closed invites only procedure. No dj or vj or act, just prepped cd's and dvd. Just guys havin fun. Right? In our church we could put the old "don't ask don't tell" strategy to our advantage!

What I'd like to see is more empasis on research and campaigns on anal hygene measures that could reduce risks and increase comfort for fuckers. Still surpised that campaigners do nothing with this reality we see in the party circuit every day: it's still head in the sand, stickin to stale condom campaigns that obviously at best works for half their target group. It's hardly better then the r.c. church, sticking to the abstinence message. I do agree with Stephen Frey: that is the safest strategy, but will people follow it? No, we're not saints! And the same goes for condoms. fun to see a porn company from Barcelona do their own Do Test Do Tell campaign, as long as the powers that be in Spain also choose the ostrich path. They also have a some of their actors perform as musicians in the local partycircuit. Their rendition of Wicked Games is not bad at all :
