pfffw,
Pieter did not win, the wheelchair guy did, but what an amazing experience this IML finale has been! I will edit the video material of the whole weekend when I get home. Here are just 3 pix taken today at the entry of the amazing finale venue, the immense 1000 seater Congress Theater. It may look a touch run down, but boy does it function, and does it have atmosphere (and a sound system, pfffew)! Just last week it hosted 2 of the biggest euro dance heroes:
Was seated on a reserved front row table with two MSA representatives:
Sure hope to get moving material of some of the amazing stuff I witnessed uploaded later this week. But I did find something from this year already online:
and the winner is :
For now I leave you with 3 of the tracks used by the hotty CodeParty dj Shea van Horn saturdaynite:

sunday worship :Code: this definitely was the nr.1 IML party as far as I'm concerned: Enjoyed myself as if I was back on Fire Island or NYC in the seventies. No, the music was not vintage, au-contraire! It was techno trance with gorgeous historic quotes respectfully sprinkled in by Shea, great decorum, lights, true danger, great acts, and a re-introduction of uninhibited partysex; like the recent xxxL @ COC A'dam! Just the vidclips were a bit of a concession to what I wrote about on 28-5.
Thanx, Thorn, loved the tents !
my video report will have to wait till I'm home; meanwhile appreciate a worship prepared earlier:
Read a highly disturbing cartoon biography on Friedriche Nietsche by Onfray and Le Roy; much more accessible than the man's own writing, so it was pretty enlightening to me. It's published in Bruxelles, and as far as I lnow only available in French and Dutch, (but I've done some translation: mouse over images)
What it learnt me foremost was to keep up the bi-annual syph tests, if only to avoid final insanity:

So many men, so little time
Don't expect extravagant live reporting, yet; just catching my breath. Have just gotten all the tickets at the Hyatt. Including a buss pass to get across town.
Luckily there is a sweet dely 50 mtr. from the hotel where a beef sandwich is more then a full meal, for this lean guy who just reached his 74 kg target. Pretty sure it will go down further here.
Also feel somewhat underdressed here, with hundreds of shiny leather- and rubberqueens strolling along the river in font of my hotel (see arrow, room 1014 local phone nr 312-980-0352, when I'm in. (cheaper than my cell, which will be charged to caller & to me as an international call.
Nice to meet guys here, that I see each monday in the slings of de Boss. Amazing to see a hotel filled with thousands of guys walking around bare-assed and in jockstrap, and a sales lady of the Hyatt, telling at the opening event in the main ballroom that she's proud to host this event fot the next 3 years. Sadly there are no lockers, so guys based in other hotels have problems stocking the streetgear. also the drinks are a bit stiff priced. Glad I have my Jenever with me, € 6,-/ltr ar Schiphol.

Chicago , here I come 3 (earlier entries 12-05 and 06-05)
presenting Pieter, IML candidate and current Mr. Europe :
he's younger than your average to-be-expected leatherbear, and he knows how to stir his mouth!
but he has some stiff competition, like:
Chandler Bearden is an out HIV positive man in recovery from crystal meth addiction.
and if we can't find enough satisfaction at the Hyatt or surrounding hotels, there's this.
Also read the editorial of Thorn in Instigator:
quotes: Last summer IML president Chuck Renslow stated he would no longer allow participation at the IML market by any entity that promotes barebacking or distributes merchandise that promotes or advocates it.
We're not making light of the situation, just at the way it's adressed. It's like: stick your head in the sand, remove yourself from the discourse, hoping that in doing so the problem will go away.
IML has put the "we're not open for debate" sign up and shut the door, under the guise of leadership. Yet it's kinda hard to lead when you lack followers: A spokesman of Centauers MC, mid Atlantic leather, will not follow: "we think attandees are wise enough to make up their own minds". One of the retailers contemplating participating at the market said: "Whatever you think of Renslow's strategy, do you think we're gonna stop carrying our biggest money maker on the shelves?"
Renslow 's not necessarily wrong. . . his game plan is !
Wonder if Instigator 20 will be on sale. It advertises Treasure Island, Dick Wadd, Dark Alley, a.m.o. (and Martin and me did participate in getting the art centerfold special on Bastille together.)

a celestal experience
I was up most of the night watching "Stephen Fry on Wagner" twice, as unlike this BBC I-player screencap leads you to believe, I do have a digital subscription to BBC 3 and 4,
Watched it in bed under the "temptations of King Ludwig II of Bavaria" arched fresco:
(you can see it in 4 close-ups here with me holding an image of Wagner while in adoration for the young king in the south view),
After watching that with Stephen's touching personal Jewish and Nazi connotations and then dawn slowly approaching I felt like "If I'd die now, all would be good". But I'm far from that: I'm off to chicago for a weekend of queer mayhem!
found the glorious Fry program in full in 6 parts on youtube after all !
In it Stephen explores his passion for controversial composer Richard Wagner. Can he salvage the music he loves from its dark association with Hitler's Nazi regime? His journey takes him to Germany, Switzerland and Russia as he pieces together the story of the composer's turbulent career.
Along the way he plays Wagner's piano, meets the composer's descendants and eavesdrops on rehearsals for the legendary Bayreuth Festival, the annual extravaganza of Wagner's music held in a theatre designed by the composer himself.

Just saw Inside Sport, the last taboo on BBC 1
sadly BBC blocks everything they broadcast outside the UK. While this is a worldwide problem, especially important on the eve of the South Africa madness.
Of course there are no out football players, which only shows what a pathetic sport it is: the one who tried is dead now. Not a pretty story: his team & the football union all dodge blame and say he approached it wrong. IS there a right way? Will it take another century ?
Ever wondered what the game would be if there were no black players? Officials are degrading their sport by not taking the matter serious.

people are still having sexread how the old nag-legend who refuses to die, Larry Kramer, gets hornier all the time.
he keeps on rejuvenating his message; is that progressing insight or demetia setting in? quotable comment 1:
#4 DSF 2010-05-03 12:04
Mr. Kramer has left a lot of words and actions and attitudes in his wake, some of which I still find disheartening. But he lives in the moment, too, and I always enjoy reading what he has to say.
But way back in the day much of his focus was on the disco era gays in NYC and their shallow, partying, sex-centered ways. At the time it seemed bitter, pious and narrow minded. It still does.
His at times direct and honest approach to the HIV holocaust was a high point, but the descent of many of his true believers into paranoia and partisan infighting (especially their bite-the-hand-that-feeds-them attitude toward the drug companies and the service providers who worked so hard to save us) still illustrate for me the dangerous side of his style of rhetoric, and the unfinished business of true self-acceptance that is always the hallmark empty hole in the heart of angry finger-pointing "activists."
Its always personal, with Larry. Even when the enemy is human nature, or nature itself. That has its upside, in that we should always aspire to rise above our circumstances. But to rise we need more than endless anger, more than the adolescent feel-good indulgence of perpetual rage.
quotable comment 2:
#1 Mark S. King 2010-05-03 08:15
Wow. I learned something new about Larry Kramer, and that's no small feat. I'm fascinated that he is turning some of his formidable attention to the culture of aging gay men. There's a lot to explore there beyond sexuality and we could use his leadership (elder gay men still exist in a vacuum, do they not?).
Were I single I'd give the man a whirl. It would be a perfect bookend to my starfuckerc night with Rock Hudson in 1980. Oh, the trampy irony of it all.
Thanks for a great article.

oh, how we queers love to see fakers exposed:
Working at the Vermeer center in Delft and living opposite a former citywall fortification, rebuilt and redesigned by Han van Meegeren into a boathouse, now used by DDS rowing club in Delft, I secretly have admired the architect, turned Nazi swindler/cheater all my life.
After years of hiding the portrait they bought as an original Vermeer in shame museum Boijmans now finally comes out as egg-faced victims of his 1938 fraud with an exhib of his cunning technique.
He only started making fakes after years of not being recognized as a great artist in his own right.
You must appreciate, after the 2 stories entered below, on how awful gay artists are treated once again in the 21st century, I like nothing better than seeing official "art authorities" with droopy eggyolk dripping off their faces, or even better; dripping down the inside of their pants. Especially as they were able to convey to the masses for 1½ century that all figurative art was crap, unless it was over 300 years old. All that time only us faggots, unashamedly out as hooked on flesh, were left to keep the torch for the classic craft of modeldrawing burning.

More sickening self suppressing suit & tie homo-bankmanager type of action:
Judas Kissing seems to be hard to eradicate in homosexuals of the eighties generation . . .
Denying the essence of queer culture, our different sexuality, just shows feeble self awareness and lack of pride. Somebody in charge and curating a "pride exhibition" ought to know better: this is the ultimate betrayal, a stab in the back! The argument that it may affront some and set them back in coming out of youngsters actually works completely the other way around: Witholding our showings of affection from the general public will never improve awareness of the natural beauty and validity of our sexuality or any other deviant lifestyle!
Hello Erotic Art Aficionados! Censorship is alive and well within the GLBT community.
I submitted the attached image:
“MANSWEAT” 2006 oil on canvas 12”x9”
to the Twin Cities 2010 Pride Art Show and it was rejected because the jury found it “too erotic”.
The jury didn’t want to offend anyone that would visit the exhibition venue,
The Art Institutes International Minnesota, a well known school for graphic design and culinary arts.
After speaking with several artists and friends I wrote the following email to Rob Anderson the coordinator of the 2010 PRIDE Art Show.
I’d love to hear your opinion. But it would be better if you could tell Rob Anderson, the Grand Marshal’s Reception & Pride Art Show Coordinator what you think about a gay pride festival censoring an image of a shirtless man. His email and contact info are below.
Erotically Yours, Marc DeBauch
to Rob Anderson ,
Director of Residence Life & Housing
The Art Institutes International Minnesota
15 Ninth Street South
Dear Robert, I have had time to think about our conversation today and bounced it off of many people, including several gay and lesbian artists in our community. The jury for the 2010 Pride Art Show has set a dangerous precedent in rejecting my art, because they deemed it too erotic for the venue. Why was nothing mentioned in the 2010 Pride Art Show Guidelines about erotic, nude or semi-nude artwork being ineligible for the show? I have had my art in two other Pride Art Shows and nudity was never an issue for male or female figures. Considering my art work that was rejected was a painting of man without a shirt showing nothing further than an inch or two below the hip. It appears that someone is really going overboard with censorship. If the venue truly is the issue, perhaps the choice between censoring artwork and not having a show at the Art Institutes International of Minnesota came down to not offending a non-gay public? The home page of the Art Institutes International of Minnesota states the following; “There is a vibrant energy at The Art Institutes International Minnesota, one that fuels a student’s desire to do their best. Students are supported by a close and caring community bound by mutual respect for individuality and creativity.”
Does this jury realize that attempting to make this art show “safe to the general public” it is actually being offensive to gays and lesbians? Especially gay and lesbian artists. You actually had the balls to ask me to submit work that would be “more acceptable for this show and venue.” Why don’t you just ask me to crawl back into the closet? If the art that gay and lesbians enjoy, is not welcome by the Art Institutes International of Minnesota, then it clearly it is NOT the right venue for our community’s Pride Art Show. Instead of being about PRIDE this exhibition is about shame. The jury is too ashamed to exhibit the diverse artists of the GLBT community. The jurors are not willing to stand up and say “no this is wrong, we should not have a show at the Art Institutes International of Minnesota because we would have to censor our artists. Art is about freedom of expression. Without that all gays and lesbians would still be in the closet, there would be no Pride Parades or Pride Festivals.
Marc DeBauch Do mail your indignation about this show of creepy shortsightedness too, to this 'director' Rob (email adress link at letter header)

Still not heard anything since my earlier proposals, so until they feel inclined to descend from their Ivory tower they deserve a healthy dose of Judas kisses, which may learn the current board to never - ever disrespect your user base, your senior members, your founders, your heritage, the guys that bred and fed you . . .
Just coming up with some empty word-rephrasing and then, as usual with faggots, pick up the white-chalk to brush away the past and redecorate, will not suffice anymore! Only a change of content, approach and attitide may do, for starters.

discussion during IDAHO day, Monday, 17 May 20.30
The gay community in Amsterdam has had it. On Wednesday evening 5 May, a gay man was attacked and beaten after the Liberation Day celebration at the Homomonument. Just the day before during the Dodenherdenking ceremony by the Homomonument, former Minister Plasterk called for better social acceptance of homosexuality in the city.
As a gay community, we already do a lot to keep Amsterdam safe, but is it enough? The police and the city of Amsterdam recognize that homophobic violence does exist. Politicians, the city of Amsterdam, Meldpunt Discriminatie Amsterdam, and the Amsterdam Police are all aware of the severity, extent and persistence of homophobic violence.
Yet, understandably, there are still currently many feelings of anger and frustration in the gay community.
In consultation with some concerned volunteers, we are organizing this meeting. Who is responsible for our safety? Are there any new and different solutions? What is needed? What can we do as a “gay community?” What should others do?
Next Monday is IDAHO, International Day Against Homophobia, the perfect time to discuss this topic. You are welcome from 20.30 in the COC building at Rozenstraat 14.
And then last night @ Rozenstraat: Just perfect, now the whole building could be used, we had no twinky nerds downstairs, looking on in disgust and wondering why those frightening men were filling up the building. Great lights in the downstairs disco, good moods in the coffeeshop, better cloakroom in the cellar, and upstairs in the theater a smaller disco gave much more playground space with the return of all features what were so excellent, like the piss pool, hang beds, a dozen slings and a gallery along which all conceivable fantasies were played out! Soo good to see so many old friends too at a vibrant event that will always survive, contrary to a broke COC that must now harvest the sour grapes of not looking after their user base. To get my anger about that down a notch or two, a clip representing last night's fantastic XXXL COC-party atmosphere:
great song too : "need you boys to suck, need you boys to fuck . . . " this sure is one of my favorite fuck and dance vidclips of all time and should be watchted by all partypigs to get in the spirit of things.

pathetic :
how the thick, arrogant self assured media nitwits of DWDD fell over each other this week to put down Rita's election tv-ad
I found it quite sweet, funny and sympathetic, contrary to the easy, cheap, slick, empty talk of focus-on-family-values CDA hypocrit Jack de Vries or below-the-belt Felix Rottenberg of the ultimate cunning regents party:
I would not easily vote for her, but she deservers more sympathy than cold racist Wilders or the grey sex-less power abusers of the center. Although she behaved extremely stupid and "Gesetz ist gesetz" in the Hirshi Ali pasport case, she never gives up and her organisation looks purified and strengthened by mishaps of the past.
And the NERVE of PvdA and CDA spindoctors: kick somebody your own size down to the ground, you school-bullies !!! To criticize Lonely Rita on her party political broadcast ! Yep, their own parties, they are renowned for their excellent political btoadcasts !!! ??? Let them 1st make half decent commercials themselves before they critisize others.
If anything, this symathetic low budget effort draws much more sympathy than the slick, correct emptyness of megabudget parties. I feel I much rather belong to the ignorants who feel some sympathy for a courageous Rita than be part of the Superior-attitude self-righteous VARA-church.

UK elections :
since Margaret Thatcher you guys in the country that has more friends to the east than to the west have tried to look the other way. And then
the guy above, who indeed did make life a lot better for homos, had the "vision" to side with the stupidest and religious fanatic president the USA had since it broke ties with your country. That started the downfall of his party. Now there is one rare chance for the UK voters to "do the right thing": side with the Lib Dems, Clegg and the EU for a change!
Sure the EU is deeply divided and often undecided, but that is often because you guys opt to stay out of it.
and now don't get annoyed, like your average American, and say we don't know shit and we Dutch should mind our own business, remember: we Dutch are your friendly and concerned neighbour, that don't get why you stick to your stale currency (we hate to change when we drive to Ireland) we've had our gay king william III ruling your country, did start economic expansion in a little place then called New Amsterdam, we then sold to you guys, on top of that we still endure weekly invasions of lagerlouts in current Amsterdam's gay party district and still we care about your ill fated economy . . .
so pleez: vote libdem and maybe the next episode of your history will once again sound like :
You may like your feudal election system, but it just keeps two ultimately corrupt parties in power. Besides that, Labour has been defending the worst strategies of Thatcher (giving the ultimate freedom to cheat and steal to the bankers, without any safeguards). We in Europe need another Euro-critical ally, but the UK,
halfway out of it, just does not count, unless you decide to make the change!

Queer culture without cock and balls ?
That's called CASTRATION !
why do that to yourselves?
Invoking God is merely an attempt to avoid clear and critical thinking and to abrogate personal responsibility for one's own choices; It's the ultimate retreat of the intellectually lazy. Ships that pass in the night
and speak each other in passing Only a signal shown;
a distant voice in the darkness
So on the ocean of life we pass
